The Lakes Giant Picnic and Family Fun Day

Bouncy Castles, water slide, live music and much much more


Bring your picnic, bring your family and friends, bring your bikes, your togs and umbrella and bring a smile!

Lots of fun activities for all ages (all free) including:
    • Noah's Ark bouncy castle
    • The giant bouncy castle
    • Inflatable climbing tower
    • Fly on the wall
    • Tug bout bouncy castle and slide
    • Chair o plane
    • Mini jeeps
  • Free rides on The Mammoth Water Slide - as seen at the Tauranga City Air Show
  • Live Music
  • Face Painting
  • Free orienteering courses - three options (short, medium or long options) - great for walking or biking and suitable for all ages
  • The International One Metre Radio Yacht Group National Championships (start 10:30am)
  • See progress at The Lake House - this is the section and home that has been gifted to Waipuna Hospice by The Lakes and many supporting builders and tradesmen.
  • See the Showhome Trail (open on the day and at other times)
  • PS Mums/Dads/Grandparents: Bring a few coins for the ice cream truck, sausage sizzle and coffee cart we've arranged to be on site for the day.
Please bring an Umbrella for shade

Just by being there you could win:
  • A fantastic bike from Koops Cycles
  • Three abundant grocery draws sponsored by the showhome buildeing companies at The Lakes
    • Pick up your showhome trail passport on the day and get it stamped at the showhomes. Prizes will be drawn on the day.
Lets celebrate a great summer in the Bay of Plenty! Will be held subject to suitable weather. Postponement will be Sunday 21st March if weather is unfavourable. Listen to local radio stations for details.

Opening of The Lakes Giant Picnic and Family Fun Day 2010

  • Live music by The Mojo at the main stage in The Oval
  • Complimentary (FREE) bouncy castles, mammoth water slide, fly on the wall, climbing tower and obstabcle course to entertain the older children with the younger ones enjoying Flic The Truck, chair-o-plane, jeeps and noahs ark to mention a few of the rides.
  • Fun Activities from the More FM crew - The Oval
    • egg and spoon races, lolly scrambles and lots more
